Foundation Stage 1

An afternoon at the Fair

July 21st, 2017 · 1 Comment · Uncategorized

This week we have been learning all about ‘The foggy foggy forest’ by Nick Sharratt. We really love the story but our favourite part is the ending  “And what can that be over there?”

So today to celebrate our love for the story we have made our own travelling fair. We have had lots of fun making fairground music, creating delicious fairground snacks and playing some fairground games.

Here is a video of us playing our instruments along to so Wurlitzer organ music.

What do you think?

What instruments can you see and hear?

After playing our beautiful music we made some delicious chocolate apple to eat later on. We then went and played some traditional Fair games outside, we played hook a duck and hoopla. I was so impressed at how good you all were.

What was your favourite game?

Which one was easier?

Finally after all that fun we went inside for a much needed sit down. We ate our Fairground treat and talked about what was our favourite part of the day.

What was your favourite part of the day?

Why did you like it?

Wow, it looks like you all had a fantastic day! I love the fair and hook a duck is my favourite game. Did you all manage to catch a duck?
