We have sent them all off to the North Pole and we are waiting to see if we get a reply.

Christmas Crafts

What an amazing day Friday was! Not only was it the unveiling of the Christmas decorations in nursery but we were able invite so many of the nursery children’s grown ups in to do Christmas crafts with us.

We were amazed at how many grown ups came to do crafts with us and we are so thankful that we could share such a lovely day with you all.

Making homes for our Gruffalo friends

November 29th, 2017 · No Comments · Uncategorized

This week we have been out collecting lots of natural items that we think the animals in our Gruffalo stories would like to use to build their houses.

We used a collection of sticks, leaves, pebbles, pinecones and anything else we could find to build their houses using clay as the base.

I can see the Snakes log pile house, the owls tree top house and even the fox’s underground house.

Which house did you make?

What did you use?

Gruffalo footsteps

Today we have been playing our Gruffalo footsteps game that we learnt last week. We even got some of the FS2 children join in.

How did you have to move?

Can you remember the rules?

I wonder if you could teach someone at home our gruffalo footsteps game?

Did you enjoy your Gruffalo crumble?

The Gruffalo song in Makaton

This week have been reading the story of ‘The Gruffalo’ by Julia Donaldson.

As part of our learning we have been practicing the Gruffalo song with Makaton sign language.

This is a video of our first attempt at singing and signing. I think you’ll agree that all of the nursery children have done amazingly well and they have all tried so hard singing and signing along.

Can you teach someone at home the actions and words to the song?
